A West End based Global Advisor was faced with huge changes in working practices during the Covid pandemic.

Already dealing with users needing to access company data from locations across the world, the lockdowns ushered in a new commitment to hybrid working.

Working from an on-premises server, this presented a technical challenge to ensure that data was available securely and that end-point devices are fully protected and managed even where users never (or rarely) attend a central office.

SY were engaged to complete a migration to Microsoft 365 SharePoint and implement MS Autopilot and In-Tune to retire the on-premises server. This very cost-effective solution means that user devices are fully managed and provide the following:

The solution is fully based on Microsoft 365 platform, and all included in the 365 Business Premium license.

By ending the requirement for a local server we have demonstrated real time savings in maintenance, lifecycle replacement and power consumption as well as deploying a robust secure and scalable solution for our client. The deployment has also resulted in a reduced user support requirement, although when they do need help SY’s brilliant customer care team is readily available.
